Summer Evening
Join us for an unforgettable night of music as The McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra opens its 2023-2024 season with a bang. As the scorching heat of the Texas summer fades away, we bid farewell to the season with a stunning performance of Kodaly's Summer Evening. Following will be Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Summer, performed by Marina Dichenko (Concertmaster), Yesenia Campos Wong and Yulia Petkevich. The evening culminates in the breathtaking Symphony No. 4 by Beethoven. The orchestra promises to wow avid classical music lovers and newcomers with its mesmerizing rendition. with the Dallas Philharmonic Choir Prepare to be swept away by an evening of transcendent classical music, where the divine harmonies of Mozart's final masterpiece, The Requiem, will be brought to life by world-renowned musicians. Soprano Nereida Garcia, Contralto Megan Esther Grey, Tenor Matthew Corcoran, and Bass Jeffery Snider will weave their exquisite vocal talents into a spellbinding tapestry of sound. Accompanied by the majestic orchestration of the Dallas Philharmonic Choir and the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra, this promises to be a symphonic journey like no other. Back by popular demand, the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra's Halloween concert will bring together the community for an evening of spine-tingling music. With selections from beloved Disney films like Beauty and the Beast, The Mandalorian, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin, as well as video game favorites like Legend of Zelda and World of Warcraft, there's something for everyone. Before the concert, we'll have a variety of fun activities for all ages, including trunk or treat, food trucks, face painting, and much more!
